Tak Tanabe
Biography
Tak Tanabe was born in 1926 in Prince Rupert, British Columbia. One of Canada's foremost senoir painters and printmakers, he has exhibited at galleries across Canada and abroad. Tak's work can be found in many museum and corporate collections in North America including the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Buffalo, New York; the Art Gallery of Ontario, Toronto; the National Gallery of Canada, Ottawa; and the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts among others.
Tak has exhibited at the Mira Godard Gallery since 1962. He presently lives and works in Errington and Vancouver.
