Torrie Groening
Biography
Torrie is a Canadian printmaker and painter living in San Francisco. She creates still life images of natural and manufactured objects assembled in unearthly union. Torrie has exhibited her work in group and solo shows since 1984 in Canada and the U.S. Her work is in several public gallery and museum collections. Her involvement in printmaking has included roles as a teacher, a master printer, collector and owner of a print gallery in Vancouver. Most recently, in San Francsisco, her work has incorporated traditional printmaking techniques, painting and digital technology.
