We have just completed a beautiful etched paisley guitar for Phil Cook from Liquid Metal Guitars. This process involves a custom aluminum guitar body provided to us by Liquid Metal. We apply photo emulsion and expose a custom detail film. The guitar body is then etched and perfected, producing the relief surface detail. We use Puretch for our emulsion provided by Jennifer Page at Cape Fear Press, who is an excellent resource for information about this process: www.capefearpress.com.
