Lawrence Lowe
Lawrence Lowe is a Vancouver, BC–based artist and graduate of Emily Carr College of
Art and Design, where he studied Print Media and later taught extensively in both
Continuing Studies and Degree Programs. He has shared his expertise in printmaking
throughout British Columbia.
Inspired by objects found in natural settings, Lawrence creates intricate pen drawings
on paper, wood, stone, discarded antler, and handcrafted drums. He also produces
relief prints from carved lino and wood blocks.
At the heart of his work is a deep appreciation for the intricate beauty found in the
natural world. Hours spent with a pen or carving tool bring him to a focused, meditative
space where he can create with clarity and authenticity.
