1. Mezzoette

The mezzoette is a hand driven tool with a jeweler’s bit that allows you to create a mezzotint texture. It was developed by Peter Braune of New Leaf Editions. It was designed to accurately repair specific areas of mezzotinted and aquatinted plates. The mezzoette can be used to draw a  mezzotint texture on the plate, creating a deep rich black. The mezzoette comes in a beautiful handcrafted resin filled wormwood box with three collets and four jeweler’s burs.
