Hello everybody,
We hope you are making the most of this gorgeous weather!
This post is regarding a proposed workshop this summer.
Intro to Waterless Lithography
Taught by Chris Dunnett
Chris is a print-maker and recent graduate from NSCAD University. He has worked as the print technician at Queen’s University and interned as a printer at Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop in New York City. Currently, Chris is the recipient of the Summer Student Scholarship at Malaspina Printmakers on Granville Island where he is working on a series of copperplate engravings depicting the ‘human passions.’
So we are putting our feelers out to see how many people would be interested in this 2 day weekend workshop for this August. Proposed dates are for the weekend of the 28th and the 29th of August. BUT, this depends on your input, we wont run a workshop if no one is around to take it, so send us an email and let us know if you are interested.
The workshop will cover a basic intro to waterless lithography with aluminum plates, using direct drawing methods or film positive photo exposure methods. We will be printing with two Takach etching presses (surprised that we are printing litho with etching presses? take the class to learn how!)
Proposed fee for the workshop: $150.00 Materials Included!
Any takers?
Please let us know by the end of July!
